1. Heat preservation
The key and difficult point of turtle culture is to breed young turtles, which are variable temperature animals, and have strict requirements on environmental temperature and high technical requirements. Young turtles that have just hatched are called juvenile turtles. It is difficult for young turtles to survive the winter. After hatching from the eggs, the juveniles are fragile and have poor adaptability to the external environment.
In particular, the seedlings hatched after September or October are different from those hatched in June and July. It is very unfavorable for the young turtles to survive the winter. When the temperature is below 16 ℃, the turtle's food intake is clear During a long period of overwintering, the juveniles can not get food to supplement their physical fitness and consume more energy. If they are not managed properly, the mortality rate during overwintering is very high. Therefore, the key to successful breeding of young turtles is to do a good job of keeping warm.
2. Feeding
The nutrients needed by turtles include protein, fat, carbohydrates, inorganic salts, vitamins, etc. in winter, when breeding young turtles, we should strengthen the feeding of young turtles. When the juveniles lack vitamins, their growth and development will slow down, their metabolism will be abnormal, and they will easily suffer from various diseases, which will be very unfavorable to the young turtles during the wintering period. Only the young turtles can absorb enough nutrients and be healthy Healthy growth, good development, not only conducive to overwintering, reduce losses, but also conducive to the planned three-year cultivation of commercial turtles, which plays a decisive role in shortening the breeding cycle of commercial turtles.
The following is a description of the food collocation of the juvenile turtle feed: fish (more than four fingers, head and tail removed) 40-50 kg + shrimp 5-10 kg + beef 3-5 kg, ground into meat paste, stir well and set aside, when feeding, you can add eel meal and corn flour (Note: Corn flour belongs to expandable food, it must be carefully stirred evenly, otherwise the turtle overfeeding may cause death). It is recommended to feed in the morning and evening every day to achieve full feeding.
3. Change water
Many farmers pay little attention to the details of changing water for young turtles. The resistance of young turtles is worse than that of adult turtles. In the process of water exchange, cold water is added after washing with cold water. The water temperature suddenly alternates between hot and cold water, which is easy to cause diseases such as cold and gastroenteritis of young turtles.
Moreover, the heat preservation equipment can not heat the fresh water in a short time, which will cause the seedlings to not adapt to the temperature and affect the quality after cleaning feed. The correct way is to quickly clean the turtle pond and inject warm water into the pond to ensure that there is no obvious difference between the water temperature before and after.
